Michael Calpin

Vice President, Investee Finance and Accounting

Michael Calpin is Vice President, Investee Finance and Accounting of Kilmer Van Nostrand Co. Limited, responsible for providing financial management of selected portfolio investments at the operating company level. In this role, Mr. Calpin has served since 2011 as CFO of Insight Sports Ltd. and its related companies in the television industry and for the prior five years as CFO of Boardwalk Gaming and its related entities in the gaming industry. Mr. Calpin has worked at KVN in various capacities since 1990, including progressively more senior accounting and finance roles at Warren Paving, Coretec Inc., where as CFO, in 2001, he helped lead Coretec’s initial public offering on the TSX, and Vice President of Kilmer Capital Partners, where he was active in acquisition due diligence and led the financial integration of acquired companies.

Prior to joining the Kilmer group, Mr. Calpin was a senior manager with Touche Ross (now Deloitte and Touche).

Mr. Calpin is a Chartered Accountant and has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto.
